Benefit Gala & Crowdfunding: Move Us to Oerol
From today, you can both purchase tickets for our benefit gala Ivgi & Greben and Friends on April 21, 2026, at the Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie in Leeuwarden, and take part in our crowdfunding campaign “Move Us to Oerol” via Voordekunst. With this dual initiative, we aim to make our participation in Oerol Festival 2026 possible and safeguard the continuity of our artistic and educational activities in Friesland.
On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, we will present a full evening program of dance, theatre, and opera in – and thanks to – Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie. Our fellow companies from Friesland and Groningen will contribute special performances, including:

• Meeuw Jonge Theatermakers
• Leefmeesters
• Poetic Disasters Club, the junior company of Club Guy & Roni
The evening will be hosted by Foppe van der Veen. This night is not only a fundraising initiative, but also a powerful cultural statement: we are organizing this evening not only for Ivgi & Greben, but with our colleagues and friends — a sign of solidarity within the northern performing arts sector.
Why this initiative?
Due to the unexpected loss of our structural funding, our continued existence — and with it our planned participation in the Oerol Festival 2026 — has come under pressure. While an objection procedure is ongoing, we want to keep creating, keep dancing, and keep connecting.
With the proceeds from the benefit gala and the crowdfunding campaign, we aim to:
• realize the new site-specific performance Not Yet at the Oerol Festival 2026
• continue our educational projects and activities in Friesland
• keep our dancers and creators together during this transitional period
Crowdfunding: Move Us to Oerol
Alongside the gala, our campaign “Move Us to Oerol” is running via Voordekunst. With your support, we can bring our new site-specific performance Not Yet to life — a physical dance performance about waiting, perseverance, and continuing to move in times of uncertainty, in which the landscape itself becomes part of the choreography.
